Numurkah Leader
Bombers’ turn to take out indoor bowls title
1 min read

WAAIA and Strathmerton have dominated the Numurkah indoor bowls competition in recent years, and this year it was Waaia’s turn to take the premiership title.

The Bombers easily defeated the reigning premier Strathmerton in last Thursday night’s decider, winning on both mats, and 53-28 shots overall.

Waaia last won the title in 2017 before going down to Strathy last year.

Waaia finished the season well clear on top of the ladder, having lost just one game, going down to Strathmerton early in July.

Strathmerton would have gone into last week’s final pretty confident, after also downing the Bombers in their semi final encounter, to move straight into the decider.
