The Federal Government has reversed its decision to exclude Moira from the list of municipalities to receive a $1 million drought assistance package.
As reported in this week's Leader, Moira was excluded due to being assessed as having 16.9% of its population employed in the agriculture industry - just 0.1% shy of the 17% threshold for eligibility.
Minister for Water Resources and Drought David Littleproud used his discretion to overturn Moira Shire's exclusion.
