Regional Vic to take another step

REGIONAL Victoria is moving ahead in leaps and bounds with a second easing of restrictions to take place as of 11.59pm tonight.

Having hit the trigger point of a 14-day average of less than five cases - 3.6 as of yesterday -  and with no mystery cases, public health experts have advised that regional Victoria can now safely move to step three of the State Government’s roadmap, which means much greater freedoms.

Activities allowed under step three:

• Public gatherings of up to 10 people outdoors

Education and childcare

• Schools - staged return to onsite learning for all students in term four, with safety measures in place

• Real estate - private inspections by appointment only, auctions outdoors subject to gathering limits

• Shopping - no limit on number of people from a household who can go shopping

Exercise and recreation

• Outdoor contact and non-contact sport for people aged 18 and younger; outdoor non-contact sport only for adults, with gathering and density limits, outdoor skateparks open, outdoor fitness for groups of 10 people
