State-School Honor Board — At a meeting of the Numurkah State-school committee on Wednesday night last Mr J. Calder (head teacher) reported that the board containing the names of old scholars of the school who had enlisted for active service had been completed. The board had on it 146 names. Discussion took place as to the arrangements to be made for the unveiling ceremony, which will take place in the Mechanics’ Hall (the school being regarded as too smalf for the purpose) on a date to be fixed. Brigadier-General Elliott, has been invited to perform the unveiling, and amongst those to be invited to the function are Lieut-Colonel Murray Bourchier. D.S.O., G.M.G., Colonel J. Kendall, O.B.E, Mr Frank Tate (Director of Education) Mr Gray (inspector), the members for the district. and others. The arrangements for the ceremony were left in the hands of Messrs H M.  Robin (correspondent), G. Bitcon and Calder.
