Cr. Harry Dudley (Central Riding) was yesterday elected president of the shire of Numurah, and at the luncheon adjournment entertained a large gathering of councillors and representative citizens at dinner at Hussey’s Numurkah Hotel. A fine menu had been prepared, and a couple of hours were enoyably spent, a toast list being gone through in the honoring of which the President was cordially congratulated upon his elevation to the highest position in the shire.
