Show Us Ya Wheels dishes out the dough
THE fruits of last year’s Show Us Ya Wheels event have been distributed, with 14 groups receiving cheques at an event held at Dubuque on Sunday.
Around 50 people attended the event, with $18,500 being distributed between Numurkah Football Netball Club, Katunga Football Netball Club, Numurkah Fire Brigade, Waaia Fire Brigade, Wunghnu Fire Brigade, Wunghnu Bowls Club, Baulkamaugh Scouts, St George’s Church, Numurkah SES, Rotary Club of Numurkah, Numurkah Lions Club, Waaia Silo Art Group, Numurkah Historical Society and GV Tractor Club Wunghnu.
The remaining $20,000 from the overall total of $38,500 has been distributed to KidzFix, Superheroes Foundation, MND Foundation, and Seymour Heritage Stream Rail. Numurkah Secondary College also received a car for the use of students studying for a Certificate 2 in Automotive.
